Jeremy, county finance staff and the budget presenter, said the county has seen “some softening in sales tax revenue” and described the package as internal reallocations rather than an increase to the county’s overall budget: “there’s no increase to the budget. It's just moving dollars between different funds.” He said adjustments also address internal service fund estimates, transfer restricted funds to pay completed capital projects and change internal-service methodologies raised in recent audit discussions.
