The Council Rock School District board voted unanimously Thursday to approve personnel actions that included hiring Dan Bartleson as the district’s supervisor of special education.
Superintendent Dr. Senko introduced Bartleson as a candidate recommended after a “rigorous interview process.” Bartleson, who addressed the board after the motion passed, said he spent nine and a half years at Council Rock as a special education teacher in the Achieve program and at Council Rock High School South and that he is “definitely looking forward to working with the team here and continuing to build on everything that this district is already doing.”
Board member Mr. Hidalgo moved the personnel motion; the secretary recorded the vote as passing unanimously. Board President Ed Tate congratulated Bartleson during the meeting.
The personnel approval was taken after the board approved meeting minutes and public comment; the superintendent had asked that personnel be moved earlier in the agenda so Bartleson’s family could be present when the vote occurred. No additional employment terms or salary information were disclosed at the meeting.
