Commissioners reviewed proposed window‑graphic designs for a downtown storefront referred to in the packet as Reeds Printing during the Aug. 18, 2025, meeting and offered informal feedback; no formal certificate of appropriateness was requested at this time.
Staff presented three layout options (left-window idea 1, left-window idea 2, and a right-window idea) and asked the commission for input before a formal COA application is filed. Several commissioners said they preferred left-window idea No. 2. Commissioners suggested incorporating train-track imagery along the bottom of the right window and recommended standard punctuation and styling for on‑window text to keep a consistent appearance across windows.
The item was advisory; staff will incorporate the commission’s feedback into design materials and return with a COA application if and when the applicant files for formal approval.
