The Parlier City Council approved the consent calendar and a late-submitted event request at its Aug. 7 meeting. The consent calendar vote (items 1–4) included approval of a Parlier Wrestling overnight mushball tournament scheduled at Veterans Park on Aug. 15, 2025, which organizers said is a fundraiser for youth wrestling programs.
The council also approved the designation of a voting delegate and alternates for the League of California Cities annual conference on Oct. 8–10, 2025. Mayor Alma Beltran was designated the voting delegate, with Councilmember Juanita Molina named as an alternate pending availability. Mayor Pro Tem Sabrina Rodriguez indicated she would not be able to attend.
The consent calendar and the designation motion each passed by a recorded voice vote of 4–0, with one member absent. The council did not request separate staff reports on either item at the time of approval.
