Buildings & Grounds staff reported that a new fire safety panel has been installed at Rollins and that an impromptu walk‑through by the fire marshal went well.
"He liked what he saw," Andy Allen said about the marshal's walk‑through. Allen told the committee the site is close to final inspection and that the district has arranged for ADS to install a small remote device that can trigger local alerts if the panel loses internet connectivity and send wireless alerts back to ADS for monitoring.
Staff said the final inspection is scheduled soon; once completed the upgraded system will be fully operational. The committee did not request additional action beyond staff's plan to complete the final inspection and add the ADS remote monitor.
Ending: Committee members noted the quick turnaround and encouraged staff to keep the committee apprised of the final inspection outcome.
