Washington County commissioners heard a briefing that the county has funded a community opinion survey using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and has contracted DHM Research to implement the survey.
A commissioner said the survey will be fielded to approximately 800 community members in early fall and will be available in 12 languages, with data expected by the end of the calendar year. The commissioner noted questions remain about how the survey fits into the county's ARPA framework and why it was scheduled now, and said they look forward to receiving more information from staff.
County staff did not propose a formal board action on the survey during the work session; the presentation was framed as an informational update about planned public-engagement work funded with ARPA dollars.
