Washington County staff presented the quarterly Treasury investment report covering April 1 through June 30, 2025, and told the Board of Commissioners the portfolio is compliant with county policy and is performing above benchmark.
Mister Shandley introduced the report and noted it is meant to document compliance with the county investment policy and to show performance relative to benchmark data. "Happy to say we are compliant in our returns and we continue to remain above benchmark data," Shandley told the board during the work session.
Shandley and staff acknowledged the report package contains extensive information and attachments; they suggested future efforts to consolidate the materials and provide an acronym directory to make the report easier for the board to digest. Kathy Leader was identified as available to field detailed questions from commissioners.
A commissioner asked whether the report is also posted on the Clean Water Services website; staff said they would "double check that." No formal action or vote was taken on the report during the work session.
Next steps discussed were internal follow-up on public posting and consideration of a more concise presentation format for future quarterly investment reports.
