Chair Coleman opened the July 22 regular session, established a quorum and announced, “We have 1 continued case. Case 7525 Hallbrook North Mixed Use Development, which has continued to our 09/09/2025 meeting.” The commission then handled routine business, approving the agenda, accepting the minutes from its June 24, 2025 meeting and approving a three-item consent agenda.
Commissioners discussed scheduling for the Hallbrook North continuance. Staff advised the item must go on the Sept. 9 meeting; in response one commissioner said moving the item to the second Tuesday in September has produced complaints in the past and sometimes led to losing “one or two” commissioners from those meetings. That commissioner said residents had complained that they were not aware business would be held on the alternate night and expressed a preference for a later date if possible: “If there was a way we could do it to the thirtieth, I would appreciate it.” Staff reiterated the requirement to schedule the item for Sept. 9.
