Council approves consent agenda including contracts, appointments and bonds

City Council approved the July 21 consent agenda by unanimous voice vote. The consent package included accounts-payable approval, appointments to boards and commissions, contract authorizations for design and construction projects, and a resolution authorizing pooled sidewalk and curb-and-gutter bonds.

Items approved included: accounts payable checks dated July 22, 2025 in the amount of $1,659,083.70; confirmation of mayoral appointments to the Downtown Business Improvement District (two appointments); two appointments to the Building Code Board of Appeals; contract authorizations and professional-service agreements (examples: IMAG professional services for Whitaker Alley water-main replacement at a cost not to exceed $63,495; Newfields amendment for Takama water-quality project at a cost not to exceed $69,657; Takamal Park construction contract with 3 Rivers Landworks at a cost not to exceed $473,869.80; change order for Garden City compost project with Western Municipal Construction not to exceed $139,537); a resolution relating to up to $400,000 for pooled sidewalk/special sidewalk bonds; an MOU related to MPOA wage adjustments for FY25-FY27 beyond an agreed COLA; and appointments to the Parks & Recreation Board.

Councilors thanked Missoula Police Department personnel present at the meeting and noted collective-bargaining and staffing considerations in public comments. No members of the public requested separation of consent items. The council approved the consent agenda by voice vote without recorded roll call.
