Board approves budget amendment to add Federal Project Fund 950 for early-literacy training and teacher stipends

The Hawkins County Board of Education approved a budget amendment to add the Federal Project Fund 950, which staff said will fund early-literacy training and associated teacher stipends.

District staff asked the board to approve the amendment to free up stipends and reimburse six individuals who had participated in the training.
