Organizers preview Greater Andover Days schedule, introduce family ticket and volunteer sign-up

A committee representative said the weekend will include traditional events plus new additions: a Friday concert (3 Dog Night and The Little River Band, ticketed separately), an art show at the Andover Public Library, a Sunday Generations Church service in the park, petting zoos, goat yoga and a new golf-cart parade category. The committee reported more than $36,900 in sponsorships to date.
Organizers announced a new family-ticket option: two adults and up to four children for $10, and said wristband and button prices will remain $3 throughout the weekend instead of increasing. Buttons and bracelets will be sold beginning Sept. 4 at City Hall, the public library, Andover State Bank, the senior center and Dillon’s; a portion of proceeds will benefit Wichita’s Little Heroes. Committee members asked for volunteers and invited sign-ups via the event website and a volunteer database they are building.
