Tacoma seeks artists for Tacoma Dome public art; Tacoma Creates awards $6.4 million to local groups

Separately, the city announced Tacoma Creates selections for the 2025-26 cycle: 80 local organizations will receive a combined $6,400,000 in funding. Tacoma Creates, now in its sixth year, supports arts, culture, heritage and science programs citywide. The city said programming for the 2025-26 cycle runs from July 2025 through June 2026 and that the initiative has supported more than 5,000 programs since 2020, reaching over 4 million participants.
Both the Tacoma Dome opportunity and Tacoma Creates program specify online pages with application and award details. The Dome call cites collaboration with the Puyallup Tribe for cultural guidance and language inclusion in artwork themes.
