Ashley Everhart, development director for 6 Rivers Land Conservancy, thanked commissioners for selecting the organization as a Casual for a Cause recipient and described recent local projects, including a prairie restoration at Selfridge called “Monarch Meadows” and a 4.85‑acre acquisition to expand the Anchor Bay Woods preserve. “Our mission at 6 Rivers Land Conservancy is to sustain, connect, and conserve the lands, waters, and natural areas that make the places that we live special,” Everhart said on the record.
