Comal County commissioners approve claims, plats, benefit plans and multiple budget transfers

Comal County Commissioners Court approved a slate of routine claims, development and budget actions at its July 24 meeting in New Braunfels, including claims totaling $1,310,784.73 and final plat approval for Simmons Valley Phase 2.

The court voted unanimously on each item after motions from individual commissioners and the customary call for hands in favor. The actions included financial approvals, proclamations, personnel reorganizations and several transfers to fund public-safety and capital work.

The court approved claims submitted for the meeting with electronic funds transfers of $189,688.40 and regular claims of $1,121,096.33, for a total of $1,310,784.73. Commissioner Hogg moved to approve the claims, with Commissioner Leacock seconding; the motion carried.

The court adopted two ceremonial proclamations recognizing the Hill Country Human Resource Management Association and designating July 21–27, 2025, as Pretrial, Probation and Parole Supervision Week in Comal County. Both proclamations passed on unanimous voice votes after brief introductions and photo opportunities.
