Development Services told the Planning Commission on July 23 that Matt Trefke has been nominated to fill Chairman York’s former seat and is scheduled to be sworn in.
Andrew Dimas of Development Services said the city will hold an internal orientation for the new commissioner covering zoning and planning procedures; the commission will hold its election of officers at the next meeting.
"He is set to be sworn in. We're going to have an internal orientation as we do with any new planning commissioner joining, explaining zoning, planning, all the fun stuff you get to deal with on a bimonthly basis. And then we will have the election of officers at the next planning commission hearing," Dimas said.
Why it matters: a new commissioner will join deliberations and votes; an orientation will introduce him to local procedures and the commission's schedule.
