The board made a formal motion to contract the facilitator and approved it by voice vote. The administration will work with the facilitator to identify dates beginning in September, October and November of the year after the spring election and will notify board members once dates are set.
The board’s approval authorizes the $3,000 fee but does not lock in specific dates; members emphasized scheduling flexibility so coaching can align with the makeup of the board that serves after the spring election.
Board President Joan Enzine said staff would follow up on scheduling and logistics.
The decision completes a discussion that began months earlier, when members reviewed proposals, costs and calendars and asked staff to confirm availability of the facilitator.
