Board says superintendent vacancy posting up through Nov. 17; IASB to run focus groups this week

The board confirmed that focus groups will be held off-site, that district staff will provide hospitality, and that Ms. Hammers and Iya will help host and conduct sessions.
IASB will consolidate feedback from focus groups and survey results and present the combined findings to the board in a public session; the board expects that presentation in the November/December timeframe. The board's timeline calls for IASB to use focus-group feedback and survey data to shape the pool of candidates it will present for interviews.
Board members asked procedural questions about attendance and timing and were reminded that board members will not attend the focus groups themselves and that presentations of results will be made in public session.
