Board authorizes signature for Deep Creek subdivision plat once VDOT signs

The Board voted to approve signature on the Deep Creek subdivision plat contingent on Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) signature. County staff said the health department has already signed the plat and VDOT—s final endorsement was expected within days; the applicant asked the board to authorize the county signature once VDOT signs.
Supervisor and board discussion confirmed the applicant would not seek the county signature immediately but asked the board to authorize staff to sign the plat when the outstanding VDOT signature is received. Board members approved the motion by voice vote.
The clerk will sign once VDOT—s minor requested change is completed and the final signature is on the plan, staff said.
