Mayor Mike McQuiston presented a proclamation recognizing Fit and Wise as the city’s Business of the Month and proclaimed Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, “Fit and Wise Day.” The proclamation highlighted the fitness center’s growth and community involvement and was followed by brief remarks from Fit and Wise staff and a short demonstration.
Fit and Wise staff described the business as a longtime local fitness and wellness center that began as a 25,000-square-foot facility in 2000 and has expanded into what the proclamation described as a 72,000-square-foot facility with an aquatic center, group exercise rooms, an indoor track, saunas and therapy services. Holly Berry, speaking on behalf of Fit and Wise, thanked the city and said the center employs full- and part-time staff and contracts with outside instructors as part of community programming. Berry said the center offers programs for ages “two months old” through older adults and that the center partners with local schools and community events.
The presentation included a short physical-wellness demonstration by Fit and Wise trainers CJ and Taylor and closed with council and staff congratulations. The item was ceremonial: no formal council action or vote on the proclamation was recorded.
Fit and Wise representatives said they appreciate the recognition and reiterated the center’s mission of promoting health and community wellness.
