Council reviews modest fee schedule changes across departments for FY2026

Brown pointed out changes in several municipal program areas: cemetery fees, park picnic‑shelter rentals, athletic field and pool rentals, Island Oasis water‑park fees and increases in some police records and impound fees. He also noted an updated sanitary sewer connection application fee and a modest increase in a sewer service charge (from $8.73 to $9.26 per the schedule). The finance department did not recommend larger changes to contracted landscape fees this year because the landscaping contract is out for bid and that contract may change in December.
Council members asked about specific items such as impound storage fees and park rentals; staff said the increases are incremental and intended to align with comparable services. No vote was taken on the fee schedule during the presentation; council members may consider the proposed schedule as part of the broader FY2026 ordinance package.
