Katy City Council approves construction contracts, change orders and city appointments; several grant and procurement items cleared

KATY, Texas — The Katy City Council on Aug. 11 approved a series of construction contracts, change orders and administrative measures and confirmed a three‑year employment agreement for the city administrator.

The council awarded a construction contract for rehabilitation work at Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2, approved multiple change orders on ongoing public‑works projects, authorized METRO funds and other project funding, and adopted amendments to the city budget and personnel policies. Council also approved a contract to manage a potential Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) disaster recovery application and confirmed two senior city management appointments.
