The board voted to support City of Fernley temporary applications 94356–94359, filed by Resource Concepts Inc., to change the point of diversion, place of use and manner of use for a portion of permit 80184, moving a diversion from Lyon County into Churchill County to support NV Energy’s Sierra Solar project. County staff member Joe Sanford said, “We have reviewed this application as with our water consultant, and we have no reason to object to it at this time.” Jennifer Shawhin, representing NV Energy, asked that the clerk provide a letter summarizing the board’s recommendation to the state engineer to avoid delay.
