Central Valley School Board approves $12 million bond authorization, multiple personnel and facilities actions

The Central Valley Board of Education on Tuesday approved a resolution authorizing up to $12,000,000 in general obligation debt for capital projects, confirmed district payments and reports for September, authorized design work for planned additions at the middle and high schools, and approved several personnel actions including hires, retirements and coaching staff appointments.

Board members voted unanimously to adopt Resolution No. 2026-03, which the board described as "authorizing the incurring of non-electoral debt for the purpose of funding a capital project" in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $12,000,000. The measure appears as attachment J on the meeting agenda and passed on a voice vote with no roll-call tally recorded in the minutes.

The board also confirmed several September 2025 fund payments: general fund payments of $2,651,932.13, cafeteria fund payments of $2,369.36, and construction fund payments of $550,345. Board members approved the district's September Berkheimer report as presented.
