The Pingree Grove Village Board on Oct. 20, 2025 approved a resolution authorizing renewal of comprehensive municipal insurance coverage with the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association (IMLRMA) for calendar year 2026 in an estimated amount of $151,160.
Andy told the board that the insurance program runs on a calendar-year cycle and that 2025 was the village’s first year with IMLRMA. He said IMLRMA has provided training resources and assistance on liability and insurance language, including support related to negotiations with the railroad. The insurer’s renewal price increase was 4.93% (about $6,000); staff noted the village can receive a 1% discount if it pays by Nov. 14.
Trustees asked whether there were changes to the village’s workers’ compensation medical-provider policies; Andy said there had been no changes to workers’ compensation in the past year. The resolution to renew the association coverage was approved on a roll-call vote.
