City committee recommends naming Skydance neighborhood park 'Solara Park'

Ankeny explained the naming policy requires a council action through the city manager's office and the committee was asked to forward the name to council for consideration. Committee members raised no substantive questions. A council member present said the item was straightforward and approved moving the recommendation forward; another committee member voiced agreement and the item will be transmitted to council for final consideration.
The recommendation does not finalize ownership or construction funding; it is a naming recommendation only, subject to any future council action on park acceptance, construction timing or maintenance responsibilities.
