Staff also said Aetna includes Trinity Health in its network, which should eliminate certain billing problems retirees reported under the Humana plan.
Commissioner questions focused on whether the level of service would change; staff said the level of service would remain the same and described only typical formulary transitions for prescription drugs when plans change. The committee moved the recommendation to the full board, which voted to adopt the Aetna plan for the 2026 plan year.
