Jackson County Medical Care Facility reports Medicaid rate increase, new consulting accountant

Wilkins said the facility changed consulting accountants on Oct. 1 and named the new consultant as Mary Anne Connor, whom she described as experienced in long-term care finance. Wilkins also said the facility received an official Medicaid rate letter effective Oct. 1 that raises the Medicaid daily rate from $351.88 to $394.06 — an increase of $42.18 per resident per day.
Wilkins estimated, based on last year’s census, that the rate increase “should equate to approximately $2,000,000 additional dollars in revenue for 2026.” She offered the updates as informational remarks during public comment and did not request action from the commissioners.
