Seven Hills City Council on Oct. 14 confirmed Corey Flowers as magistrate for the city’s mayor’s court and approved two emergency engineering contracts for road and waterline projects.
The council, meeting at 6:12 p.m., voted unanimously to reconfirm Corey Flowers to the magistrate post. Mayor Villasciaga introduced the reconfirmation, saying, “Corey has been in the role for 3 years. He's doing a good job.” The motion to confirm was moved and received a second; the roll call produced all votes in favor and Flowers was confirmed.
The council also passed two ordinances as emergency measures to hire outside engineers. Ordinance 48-2025 authorizes the mayor to enter into an agreement with Osborne Engineering of Cleveland for an amount not to exceed $51,200 plus reimbursable expenses to provide survey, design, bid documents and limited construction-administration services for the Crossview Rockside Road intersection improvements project.
