The Daytona Beach Planning Board on Oct. 23 recommended approval of a small-scale comprehensive plan amendment to change future land use designations for six parcels on George W. Ingram Boulevard, a city staff member said.
Doug, representing city staff, said the request (DEV2025-511) applies to six properties totaling about 0.66 acres and would change the future land use designation to Level 2 (Commercial Transition) to align the comp plan with existing zoning and uses. “We were going to take it on to do the change for all of the properties,” Doug said, explaining staff expanded the single-property request to include nearby lots that would benefit from the amendment.
Staff reported the city has capacity to serve the properties with water and sewer and that the amendment is consistent with the comprehensive plan. The application will go to the City Commission for a first reading Dec. 3 and second reading Dec. 17.
There were no public speakers. A motion to recommend approval passed unanimously.
