Planning staff said the rezoning will unify the parcel and is consistent with the Northeast Planning area’s designation of G-4 Suburban Walkable on the Plan El Paso future land-use map. Staff reported no calls in support or opposition prior to the hearing and recommended approval.
Aaron Alvarado, representing the applicant, told the commission he concurred with staff comments and recommendations. No members of the public spoke during the brief hearing.
The commission voted to approve the rezoning request as presented; a motion and second were recorded and the chair announced the motion carried. Future site design and permitting will be handled through standard review processes.
