Committee advances several mayoral and council nominations to full council

- Josephine "Jojo" Tanimoto was nominated to the South Kohala Community Development Plan Action Committee to represent the South Kohala district (Kauaihi area). Tanimoto described concerns about water, traffic and historic bridges in Kauaihi and urged representation for that community; the committee voted to forward her nomination with a favorable recommendation (vote reported as 7 ayes; two members excused).
- Paige Tominaga was appointed by Councilmember Onishi to the Youth Commission (Council District 3). Tominaga, an eighth grader at Kamehameha Schools, introduced herself to the committee and said she hopes to help youth with social, mental and physical health opportunities; the committee approved the nomination by voice vote (9 ayes recorded).
