Grass Valley DRC approves revised cupola base and patina plan for Maria’s patio

The Grass Valley Development Review Committee on March 25 approved revisions to the patio at Maria’s Mexican Restaurant at 126–226 East Main Street, clearing design changes to cupolas and corrugated metal siding and adding conditions to reduce the cupola base height and alter finish treatments.
Senior planner Lucy Rollins told the committee the item was a continuance from the March 11 meeting and that the applicant had already installed one cupola and invited DRC members to inspect it on-site. "The proposal heard on March 11 was for the installation of metal cupolas on the roof of the patio structure ... and corrugated metal siding on the side fronting East Main Street of that patio," Rollins said.
