Commissioners approve proclamations, permits, hires, equipment purchases and accounts payable

Washington County Commissioners Court on Sept. 16 approved a series of routine and programmatic items including a proclamation for Constitution Week, Expo event contracts, a revised mass‑gathering permit, a memorandum of understanding for emergency services, hotel‑occupancy tax funding for a billboard, personnel action for the jail maintenance supervisor and multiple equipment purchases. The court also approved accounts payable totaling $408,556.96.

The court unanimously approved a proclamation designating Sept. 17–23, 2025, as Constitution Week in Washington County, recognizing the anniversary of the U.S. Constitution and encouraging civic ceremonies.

The court approved pending Washington County Expo event contracts (one for an upcoming Valentine dance) and delegated authority to the county judge to sign the contracts.
