Two volunteers named for SAPA committee; council to decide lead and alternate

Council members identified John Kazista and John Jeffrey as volunteers who have expressed interest. Councilors said both have prior involvement and are qualified for the role; the council did not make a formal appointment at the meeting and left the final selection to the council’s decision process.
No formal vote or motion was recorded. Councilors noted it would be preferable to appoint a member who is well versed in the committee’s subject matter to serve as lead and to name the other as alternate.
Staff will place the SAPA appointment on a future agenda for formal action.
