Energy Right invites Buckingham officials to Solar Grazing film premiere in Charlottesville

Dylan Taylor, a representative of nonprofit Energy Right, used the county’s public-comment period to invite Buckingham County officials, planning commissioners and residents to a free film premiere and panel on solar grazing on Sept. 3 at the Common House in Charlottesville.
Taylor said Energy Right received a grant from the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation and is partnering with the American Solar Grazing Association (ASGA) and other local groups for a screening of the documentary Pastures and Panels: The Power of Solar Grazing. The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m., with the film starting at 5:30 p.m., a panel following the screening and a reception afterward. Taylor said several local organizations are participating, including the Charlottesville Renewable Energy Alliance, the Piedmont Environmental Council and Farm to Power, and that supervisors from Albemarle, Nelson, Orange, Greene and Madison counties plan to attend.
Taylor said the event will include a panel with practitioners, including a solar grazer (Matt English) who operates a site in Buckingham County, and representatives from Grays Landscaping and Farm to Power. He left printed flyers and an RSVP QR code for interested residents. "We help localities navigate the clean energy landscape here in Virginia," Taylor said during his comment.
