Clermont County proclaims April 2025 as National County Government Month

The Clermont County Board of Commissioners on March 26, 2025 adopted a proclamation declaring April 2025 as National County Government Month.
Ursula Miller accepted the proclamation on behalf of county employees and said she joined Clermont County a few months earlier and was honored to represent the county’s roughly 1,350 employees. Miller summarized county services that the proclamation will highlight, including water and wastewater infrastructure, highway maintenance, public health and 911 services, social services for children and older adults, courts and the sheriff’s office, and economic development efforts.
"We're looking forward to using April as an opportunity to share with the public and to help educate the public on the scope of services that the county government provides," Miller said, and added that the county will post social media announcements about services and programs during the month.
The proclamation, as read by the board, references the National Association of Counties' theme and the role of counties as intergovernmental partners. The proclamation was signed by Commissioners David Painter, Bonnie Bachelor and Claire Corcoran.
After Miller's remarks the board invited her to remain for photographs to mark the proclamation.
