The Osceola Board of County Commissioners on April 7 approved several appointments and reappointments to local boards and advisory panels.
Commissioner Grieve moved to appoint Renee Lavender as Osceola—s representative to the Housing Finance Authority; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously after the county attorney confirmed she could serve in both roles without conflict. The board also reappointed Hanes Brinson to a code enforcement seat reserved for an attorney and reappointed Scott Brooks to the architecture seat on code enforcement.
Commissioner Chaudhry moved to reappoint Ahmed Hamada to the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee; the motion was seconded and approved unanimously. The board also appointed Christina Morris to the Aviation Noise Abatement Committee and Kristin Graffio to the District 3 Library Advisory Board; each action was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The meeting record shows each appointment passed by voice vote; no dissenting votes were recorded in the transcript. The county attorney confirmed that the dual roles discussed for Renee Lavender did not create a conflict with local rules.
