The Broadwater County Commission discussed a resolution of intent to transfer a 1985 GMC TopKick (listed in exhibit A) to the Broadwater County Airport for $3,500 during the April 16 meeting.
Public Works Director TJ Gravely described the item as a formality should the airport decide to accept the piece of equipment. Brown explained the relevant authority cited in the record: section 7-8-22-11, MCA authorizes the Board of County Commissioners to sell, trade or exchange county property not necessary for county business, and section 7-8-101, MCA authorizes sale or trade of property to a political subdivision when in the public interest without public auction or bids.
Gravely said the airport board was scheduled to meet that evening and would make the decision “one way or another.” No formal transfer occurred at the April 16 commission meeting; the commission placed the item on the record so any transfer could be completed promptly if the airport board accepted the equipment.
