Resident asks Kershaw County for help connecting a home to wired internet service

Gray said he contacted AT&T, T-Mobile, TrueVista and local providers and was told the cost to extend a wired line to his property would be "5 to 15,000 out of my pocket to hook it up myself." He asked the council to continue working with staff and providers on his case; council members acknowledged the request and one councilman said he had followed up earlier.
Council staff did not announce a specific county action at the meeting; Gray thanked the council for earlier responses and asked for continued assistance to secure a stable home internet connection.
