Willis Acres Phase 2 final plat: attorney and engineer signoffs received; mylar to be prepared for administrative signatures

Planning staff told the Clarkston Town Planning and Zoning Commission that the final plat application for Willis Acres Phase 2 is largely complete and that the town attorney and the project engineer have reviewed and signed off on the final plat materials. Staff said county review indicated the document is recordable and that the remaining administrative step is to print the mylar (MILR), obtain signatures and record the plat.

Staff said that because the plat includes an alignment remainder notation (a parcel descriptor in the engineer—s drawing), the town attorney reviewed and accepted that approach and would sign the final mylar. The commission was advised that the normal course is to receive a final approval at a meeting, then collect the mylar and signatures; because signature gathering is an administrative function, it does not require an additional public meeting. Staff said it would prepare the mylar, get all available signatures, leave the town attorney as the last signature, and then return the signed document for recording.

Commissioners and staff also discussed escrow and the engineer's cost estimate. Staff said it would email the escrow agreement and the engineer's estimate and include those figures on the mylar. The commission agreed staff should proceed to prepare the mylar and gather required signatures so recording can occur once the remaining administrative items are complete.

Ending: Staff will prepare the mylar, gather signatures (with the town attorney signing last), and return with the signed mylar for recordation; no final public hearing was required at the meeting because the outstanding items were administrative.
