A nominating committee representative thanked outgoing Commissioner Mitchell for his service and said committee members had discussed leadership roles with commissioners. The committee nominated Carl Schwartz for chair and Danny Yoder for vice chair and asked that existing leaders continue to serve on legislative issues.
The commission offered an opportunity for additional nominations. Hearing none, a motion to accept the nominating committee’s recommendation was moved and seconded, and commissioners approved the slate by acclamation.
No roll‑call vote was recorded; the chair asked those in favor to say “aye,” and Commissioners present responded. The commission proceeded with the meeting after announcing the new officers.
