- Zoning actions: The council approved three zoning items recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission: (1) Zoning Docket 25 Z-4, a variance to allow reduced rear-yard depth, a reduced garage setback and to permit off-street parking for apartments at 2816 MUS Avenue; (2) Zoning Docket 25 Z-5, a variance to allow front off-street parking and a 13-foot front yard setback at 1703 Herman Avenue; and (3) Zoning Docket 25 Z-6, a special-use permit to operate a community center and related off-street parking in a residential district at 1828 Herman Avenue. Each zoning request was approved by the council; votes carried 5-0.
- Motion to go into closed session pursuant to the Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/2) for pending or probable litigation, sale or purchase of real estate, collective bargaining, legal counsel and personnel matters. The council voted to enter closed session; motion carried on roll call.
