The St. Johns County School Board approved two budget amendments at the meeting.
A districtwide amendment (2025‑G07) recorded a net revenue increase for February 2025 of $662,693.33. Revenue adjustments included increased rent and facility use fees from multiple schools ($212,760.86), donations and school contributions ($214,990), miscellaneous revenue from schools and departments ($183,937.47), and modest increases in after‑school and course fees. The amendment brought the district’s total revenue and beginning fund balance to $546,054,112.75 as of Feb. 28, 2025, and appropriations were adjusted for school supplies, equipment and salary/benefit changes.
A separate amendment (2025‑FCTC‑07) increased First Coast Technical College’s budget by $328,612.79 for February 2025, reflecting a $35,000 federal/state cooperative agreement for vocational rehabilitation and a $293,612.79 supplemental state allocation for the Open Door grant program. The college’s revised budget was $18,053,784.60 as of Feb. 28, 2025.
Both amendments were approved by voice vote; board members said there was no discussion beyond the motions to adopt.
