Susan Murphy addressed the board on April 9 to announce that Elbert County is in a reappraisal year and that property owners should expect mailed notices of value no later than May 1.
Murphy said the county is finalizing the reappraisal and review process. She told commissioners that the public website would be updated on May 1 and that, until then, users can view a December 31, 2024 snapshot of property data. Murphy said the website will include information about valuation and the appeals process; she referred to the appeals process timeline and forms but did not provide specific appeal deadlines during the meeting.
Her remarks were informational; no action was taken by the board on the reappraisal update at the April 9 meeting.
