The current proposal sought more full-day private events so the venue operator can generate revenue to support the Holbrook House restaurant and to fund free public programming. Planning staff told commissioners that the site hosted 24 free events in 2024 and discounted nonprofit events; supporters said the Conservatory regularly attracts hundreds of visitors and helps downtown businesses.
