Hazleton Area SD board approves grouped agenda items; item 66 draws lone dissent

The Hazleton Area School District Board of Directors approved multiple grouped agenda items and routine motions during its meeting, with one recorded dissent on a personnel item.

Board members voted to approve grouped curriculum items, security and facilities measures, financial transfers and routine personnel and operational items after standard motions and seconding of the items. Several items were removed from the agenda before the meeting began, and the board recorded a single negative vote on item 66.

The board approved curriculum items 1 through 12 on a motion by Mr. Chapman, seconded by Mr. Benomo. The board later approved items 13 through 19 (motion by Mr. Benomo; second by Mrs. DeCosmo), items 20 through 24 under security (motion by Mr. Zeller; second by Mr. Benomo), and nutrition and transportation items 25 through 30 (motion by Mrs. DeCosmo; second by Mr. Kubitz). Technology item 31 was approved on a motion by Mr. Chapman, seconded by Mr. Benomo.
