The council approved a requisition for a K‑9 unit: requisition number 20224222040 to Von Niki Kennelton Incorporated in the amount of $9,000 to purchase a narcotics detection dog. Council members discussed travel and incidental costs for selecting and transporting the dog; an additional out‑of‑state travel approval of roughly $1,000 was discussed and will require separate approval.
Councilmembers also approved requisition 40320251232 to purchase four 25 KVA pad‑mounted transformers at a total of $9,700. The purchase was described as time‑sensitive; staff said the supplier had a limited batch available following a fire at a manufacturing plant elsewhere.
Other routine items approved included a transaction register for March 2025 in the amount of $826.52 and minutes and housekeeping items.
