The Ross Advisory Design Review recommended that the Town Council approve a design-review and demolition‑permit request for exterior updates to the garage/guest house at 51 Loma Linda.
Alex (planning staff) summarized the proposal, which would replace existing plywood siding on the guest-house upper walls with stained cedar shingles painted blue and install a new framed garage door. The owner’s representative, Peter Brockman, described the work as a "cosmetic update of an existing building, tidying it up, cleaning it up." He said the existing garage width is about 18 feet and that the change would not reduce practical vehicle storage.
ADR members uniformly praised the materials and design changes. One member asked whether two full-size cars would still fit with the slightly narrowed opening; the applicant’s representative said two cars would fit. The ADR said the design was a clear improvement and agreed to recommend approval to the council.
