During the reorganization, the floor was opened for nominations. Commissioners nominated Denise Schmidt for chair; the motion was approved unanimously after a roll-call confirmation of present members. Annette Limon was nominated and confirmed as vice chair in a separate roll-call vote that also passed unanimously.
Commissioners then made subcommittee appointments. Staff described the option of making a single motion to approve the slate rather than voting on each assignment individually; the commission approved the full slate by roll call. Notable committee assignments recorded during the meeting included:
