The Marysville City Council approved the meeting's consent calendar by voice vote. A council member moved to approve, another seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
City staff used the brief meeting to announce a schedule of spring events. The city manager and community development staff listed an April 11 ribbon cutting for the annex building — described as a Yuba County Office of Education joint venture for parks and recreation programming — and an April 14–16 high-school baseball tournament at Bryant Field that the city said will be coordinated with the High Wheelers and local high schools (the meeting transcript also referred to the tournament as a "2 day tournament").
Additional events announced included the Friends of the Preservation of the Historical Cemetery fundraiser (scheduled for April 19 in the council's remarks), the region-wide Yuba Sutter Shines community clean-up on April 26 (meeting point at Gauci Aquatic Park; public works will close streets at 7:00 a.m.; participants meet at 7:30 a.m.), and a Taco Festival on D Street on May 3. The council also noted a Cinco de Mayo music concert at Bryant Field connected to the High Wheelers, with city staff saying they expected "between 1 and 2000 participants" for that event.
Staff announced the restart of a weekly Marysville walking program in conjunction with Blue Zones: a National Walking Day walk meeting at Bryant Field at 5:15 a.m. the next morning, with organizers saying prior walks usually drew about 15 to 20 participants.
